Erick is the lead coordinator for Stop Superbugs, a global health initiative of the British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (BSAC). He is the founder and advisor of the Roll Back Antimicrobial Resistance Initiative (RBA Initiative), an NGO in Tanzania that focuses on containing antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Additionally, he serves as a member of the board of directors for the International Society to Improve the Use of Medicine (ISIUM). He is also an educator for different global courses on AMR and a consultant for AMR programs.
He serves as a member of the AMR Technical Working Group for awareness, communication, and education, which is under the Tanzania Ministry of Health. Trained as a pharmacist, Erick has received several awards for his work to contain AMR. His efforts have played an important role in inspiring others to combat AMR both at the national and international levels.
