Oluwatosin Akinwotu is a doctoral researcher in Microbiology, University of Ibadan, Nigeria and a research fellow at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India. He is the founder of Combat Antimicrobial Resistance Initiative (CARI-X), an establishment strengthening the global war against Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) by engaging in AMR Stewardship using the “One Health” approach. Oluwatosin possesses strong knowledge in infectious diseases prevention which he demonstrates as a dedicated researcher working to curb the continuous proliferation of AMR and advocating for infection prevention and control in the environment, especially in low-medium income countries. As an innovative One Health champion, he is currently serving in a range of capacities within organizations creating awareness in AMR, and training participants on IPC and WASH using the one health approach.
