Mirko Ancillotti is a postdoctoral researcher at Uppsala University, Sweden. Mirko holds a PhD in Medical Science granted by Uppsala University in 2021. His doctoral project investigated the public health and ethical dimensions of individual responsibility and behaviour in relation to antibiotic resistance. His background is in Philosophy, which he studied at the University of Pisa, Italy. Mirko has conducted both qualitative and quantitative empirical research on socio-cultural determinants of antibiotic resistance and theoretical reflections on the ethics of individual responsibility for antibiotic resistance. His research on human impact on antimicrobial resistance includes also sustainable consumer behaviour.
