Epidemiologist and Data scientist Nigeria Centre for Disease Control

Emmanuel Benyeogor is an Epidemiologist and Data scientist with the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control where he works as a public health emergency manager. He is currently a Doctor of Public Health student at the Interfaculty Initiative for Planetary Health, Nagasaki University, Japan. His project is focused on exploring ecosystem approaches for the vulnerability reduction in low-and-middle income countries given our anthropogenic milestones. He is a pioneer member and has moderated over 100 posts on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) for Africa on ProMED-AMR network in the last two years. As a Fleming fund fellow,

Emmanuel continues to mentor early researcher, provide awareness and leadership on AMR within and outside Africa. He is passionate about protecting lives and saving the planet. Becoming an expert and consulting on formulating rules for decision making under risk and uncertainties drive his daily work with the science community, decision makers and informed citizens.
